Instead of making a christmas tree, a bunch of elfs pimped their ride from normal borring sledges to super bad ass sledges! Kids make some space for the big boyz!
Slovenians are not big fans of Santa. We have our own guy – Dedek Mraz and we all have great memories from our childhood on this guy bringing us gifts. Dedek Mraz was -invented- in 1940s by Central Communist Committee of Slovenia. His appearance in long coat, a hat made of a dormouse fur a big walking stick and white beard was created by a Slovenian artist Maksim Gaspari… I bet you didn’t know that did u? Well last couple of days I have spent wit couple of legendary Slovenian – Dedek Mraz doing a photo reportage for weekly magazine Mladina.
Me and the journalist Vanja Pirc have visited mr. Drago in Velenje who is Dedek Mraz already for 47 years, father and son-Rastko and Aljaž in Kranj and Robert in Ljubljana.
Well if you have some little kids running around your computer now is the perfect time to send them away to save them some disappointment …

Trenirka is a must…
One of the most challenging 3D projects was shooting a concert of biggest Slovenian rock band – Siddharta. The main rule for shooting in 3D is closed aperture (f8, 11…) and the main rule to shoot concerts due to the lack of light is opened aperture (F 1.4 – 2.8), now do the math… But hey.. If it would be easy everyone would do it right…?
Extended Place3d team Peter Gedei, Samo Bešlagić, Aleš Pirec, Benjamin Rančič and myself, combined our powers and the result can be seen on Siddhartas live DVD in shops near you!

With Goodlife magazine crew we went on a bustrip to Salzburg, where we ate Weisswurst mit süßem Senf und selbstgebackenen Laugenbrezeln, Mozartkugeln, Glühwein and of course we also shot an editorial.

Dream team
We had a a really unique opportunity to be the first crew shooting in a newly refurbished Ljubljana Opera house. And that is not the end of the story. We have shoot a almost half of million euros worth Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe with some of the best ballerinas. A big thanks to whole crew that helped this to happen! (Anžej, Gordana, Robert, Peter, Aleš, Marko, Tjaša, Matevž…)

A stop motion of Behind the scenes. No, we were not just standing around as it seems but when you are lighting a enormous shinny car, there is a loooot of light fine tuning and testing involved!
When you are location scouting the best thing is to take a friend model with you… Its fun and practical… Great afternoon in Slovenias best kept secret locations…

On the photoshoot for Goodlife magazine I shoot also couple of short clips that were transformed by Benjamin Rančič (funnyfarm production) into the gifs. Here is the resoult.

One of the biggest projects I shot in September was a 3D catalogue for biggest Slovenian shoe seller – Mass. To be brutally honest I wasn’t to excited about shooting shoes at first, but they let us a lot of creative freedom so the project turn out very exciting. We used -painting with light- technique, where we used long exposures and light each pair of shoes and background separately with flash lights and strobes. Each photograph too us about hour and a half to complete since each shoot is unique and you are repeating the shot until you are 100% satisfied.
Second part of the project was shooting one of the most famous singers of entire region – Severina.
